Cookies – what they are and how they work

Google Analytics

Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager handles tracking codes and refers to tracking setup and tracking to third-party solutions such as Universal Analytics (Google Analytics) and is used for optimization of the website and marketing services. All tracking codes are run and handled via Google Tag Manager.
What is stored: Your movements and certain actions on the website (e.g. if you press “Add to cart” in an online store). All data is anonymised and we do not store any sensitive information such as: credit card details, telephone number, address or any other form of data that can identify you as a person.
Facebook Pixel
The Facebook Pixel is an analysis tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of advertising from Facebook by tracking the actions the user performs on the website with a view to optimizing Facebook Ads (building Audience and remarketing). One can use this information to:
- Ensure that ads are shown to the right people
- Build ad audience
- Unlock additional advertising tools on Facebook
What is stored: Which ads the user has seen on Facebook, which pages the user has visited and which conversions (order, contact etc.) the user has carried out.
Hotjar
Charts the user’s interaction with the website. To help us understand how visitors interact with the site, Hotjar records visitor sessions. The Hotjar script is a websocket connection that sends the following information to Hotjar’s servers:
- HTML changes that occur during the user’s session on the website
- Mouse movements
- Mouse click
- Scrolling gestures
- Keystrokes for whitelisted actions
- Statistics for whether the display size for the browser changes
Each event tracked is stored in Hotjar’s cloud database using a timestamp which is later used to play back the events in sequential order. The Hotjar script tracks visitors when they visit different pages using a first-party cookie, allowing one to replay the entire session in a single recording. No sensitive information or user information is collected or stored.
Collection of information
